| Image © 2010 Will Nunnally Photography || (Santiago de Compostela, Spain - April 18, 2010) - The Galicia Black Towers running back Pablo "Mexi" Benavent stiff arms an Oporto Lumberjacks lineman as he runs around the end in the first quarter. The Black Towers won the game 34-19 and clinched a playoff spot in their inaugural season. Benavent scored three of touchdowns and made four of five extra points.
The Black Towers are the only American football team in Northwest Spain. They played their first competitive season last year in the Portuguese league and hope their sport will catch on in the region. |

I followed the Galicia Black Towers, an American football team in northwest Spain, for their first competitive season in the Liga Portuguesa.
