| Image © 2010 Will Nunnally Photography || (Santiago de Compostela, Spain - May 1, 2010) - Galicia Black Towers quarterback and coach David Siso grew up in Queens, Ny. and left a job on Madison Avenue to move to Galicia (where his parents are from) 10 years ago to start a vegetable stand.
He said, "Would you have ever thought there would have been a football team or a league in Galicia? We never thought so either. We're proud to say that we're making history; we're the first team in the history of Galicia to play a football game."
The Black Towers are the only American football team in Northwest Spain. They played their first competitive season last year in the Portuguese league and hope their sport will catch on in the region. |

I followed the Galicia Black Towers, an American football team in northwest Spain, for their first competitive season in the Liga Portuguesa.
