Special note to all SportsShooter.com members: Rich Clarkson and Associates is graciously offering all PAID and active members of SportsShooter.com a 10% discount ($120 value) on tuition for the Photography at the Summit workshop in October, when you mention your Sports Shooter membership at the time of registration.

The world’s top photographers and editors have met in one of America’s most beautiful and inspirational valleys for 20 years now to talk about creativity, careers and personal aspirations in one of the most unique workshops and conferences. With a large presence from staff members of the National Geographic, this workshop also brings Nikon cameras, Apple computers, Photoshop software, Epson printers, Energizer batteries, Lexar cards and Lowepro bags; everything needed in either film or digital for a unique week. It combines artistry, photojournalism, changing technologies and career counseling. It has been called the Cadillac of all workshops

Photography at the Summit takes place October 5-10 in Jackson, Wyoming with both digital and film materials used, with the emphasis on creativity and high quality imaging. Taking place at the National Museum of Wildlife. Art, materials and equipment will be supplied by the above manufacturers for use by the participants.

Faculty for this week will include William Albert Allard, National Geographic staff photographer; John Rasmus, editor-in-chief of National Geographic Adventure magazine; Bill Curtsinger, National Geographic contributing photographer; Mike Smith, senior editor, The New York Times; Dave Black, Newsweek contributing photographer and SportsShooter.com member; Jodi Cobb, National Geographic staff photographer; Carolyn Cole, Los Angeles Times staff photographer; Tom Mangelsen, internationally acclaimed nature and wildlife photographer; and Bill Eppridge, former Life and now Sports Illustrated staff photographer.

The workshop is organized and managed by Rich Clarkson and Associates LLC of Denver, a photography and publishing company widely respected in American photography. The commitment to ongoing education by Clarkson and his staff goes back to the days he was a photographer under contract to Sports Illustrated and Time magazines, director of photography of the National Geographic Society and education chairman and eventually president of the National Press Photographers Association.

Information on the workshops can be obtained from the organizers, Rich Clarkson and Associates LLC, 1-800-745-3211 or at: www.photographyatthesummit.com
