At the risk of sounding like a cheesy press release, we would like to announce the winners of the Utah News Photographers Association 2002 contest. This not only a shameless pat on the back for our humble group of less than 35 working (and I must add, very talented) photojournalists in Utah. It is also a chance to recognize some of the high profile judges we were able to solicite to choose our winners. Several judges are SportsShooter.com members and a handful of the winners are also members.
The judges for the categories are as follows:

Photographer of the Year - Pete Cross, Becky Lebowitz, and Loren Hosack of the Palm Beach Post

We want to thank all of the judges publicly who took the time to select the winners and provide a little feedback. The comments were very insightful and helpful for those photographers who are just entering the business or are looking to receive feedback from successful, experienced photographers and editors.
See you next year.
