Baseball Hall of Fame Contest Winners Displayed

SportsShooter.com has been given a sneak preview of all the winning photographs from the 2002 National Baseball Hall of Fame Photo Contest thanks to Jeff Idelson, the Hall of Fame's vice president of Communications and Education.
Four SportsShooter.com members were among the nine winners in this years contest, which was judged in New York City in early January, 2003. The list of judges included SportsShooter.com members Rich Pilling and Paul Cunningham of Major League Baseball Photos. Other judges were: Brian Horton, Associated Press; John Iacono, Sports Illustrated; Pancho Bernasconni, The New York Times; Ted Spencer, Baseball Hall of Fame; Milo Stewart, Jr., Staff Photographer, Baseball Hall of Fame and Andrew Parton, JPMorgan Chase.
The Hall of Fame Photo Contest is an annual event that is open to all professional photographers who take pictures for general circulation newspapers or magazines, who make still photos for television use, or who are assigned to game coverage by major league teams.
The deadline for the contest is always around November 30 and there is no entry fee. Look for an entry form at the ballpark this coming season.
JPMprgan Chase is has been sponsoring the contest since 1984 and awards the nice cash prizes to all of the winners.
