Pizza Guys to drink beer, eat pizza and raise money for Special Olympics

Here is your chance to meet the famous Bob Larson and his pizza-eating sidekick Vinny, aka "The Pizza Guys"...and it's all for a good cause.
They will be joining Dennis Cruz of the John London "Not Just Sports" Show on KNBR 680 and will be serving your pizza from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the new Amici's East Coast Pizzeria in Dublin, Calif. on Tuesday, March 4, 2003.
Amici's celebrates the grand opening of its Dublin restaurant at 4640 Tassajara Road with an offer you can't refuse: 100% of all proceeds Tuesday, 11 AM to 10 PM, go to the Special Olympics.
Give The Pizza Guys a tip and that goes to Special Olympics, too!
Says Larson, "I'm looking forward to meeting Dennis and throwing back a few beers with him. Come on down to Amici's in Dublin, bring your cash and buy us some beers. The Pizza Guys would love to drink your free beer. It's for a good cause, the Special Olympics of Northern California. All proceeds- including tips on Tuesday will go to the Special Olympics. The Pizza Guys and KNBR's Dennis Cruz will be there from 4:00 -6:00 pm. Maybe longer, if all you cheap bastards come out and buy some beers."

Larson will be plugging the event on the John London "Not Just Sports" Show on KNBR 680 at 8:20 am Monday morning, March 3.
Bob Larson is one of the smartest news photographers in the San Francisco Bay Area who enjoys eating pizza, drinking beer and smoking cigars. Larson had waited around the Contra Costa Times photo department in Walnut Creek, CA for years waiting for the day when Director of Photography Alan Greth would give him an assignment where he could eat pizza, smoke cigars and drink beer.
When that day never came Larson took it upon himself to self-assign a story and make it happen for himself. Several months later Larson has a successful food column in the paper every month called the "Pizza Guys". The best part of the whole thing is now DOP Greth really is paying Larson to eat pizza, smoke cigars and drink beer. Try getting YOUR boss to let you do that!
Larson has this to say about the evolution of The Pizza Guys, "About six months ago I got the thumbs up to start a column in the Contra Costa Times Food section with my partner Vinny called, "The Pizza Guys". Two guys, one from Chicago and one from New York who go to different pizza places and then write about it. Bob, the deep dish guy and Vinny, thin crust. We are in search of the perfect pizza. It's conversation with an edge. We talk pizza. During this conversation we get into what ever is on are mind, beer, cigars, napkins. We don't rate these places, if the pizza is good, we say its good, if it's bad, we say it's bad. If the beer is flat, we go to bottled beer."
