SportsShooter.com members and their Super Bowl updates
You might have seen them as television background material, but now's your chance to take a peek at what they shot.
By Grover Sanschagrin
How many SportsShooter.com members does it take to shoot the Super Bowl? Not enough!
And now, a few days later, several of our members have posted updates to their member pages. The following is a list of Super Bowl-related images now posted to the site. (Most recent at the top of the list.)
If you spot any, let us know, and we'll add them to this list.
Dan MacMedan
http://www.sportsshooter.com/danmacmedan
Dan recently posted story he photographed for USA Today from the Super Bowl of Darren Ryder, a fanatical Raider fan otherwise known as "The Assassin". This is a terrific story well worth checking out.
Nhat V. Meyer
http://www.sportsshooter.com/nhatgnat
Nhat just updated his gallery with some fun features of other shooters at the game, some real nice action and some damn fine Raider dejection.
Aric Crabb
http://www.sportsshooter.com/crabbsurf
Aric weighs in with a series of images from the big game, including some really nice peak action stuff. Cool!
John Green
http://www.sportsshooter.com/fotoes
John just added a few action images from the game to his member page.
Sean Connelley
http://www.sportsshooter.com/sconnelley
Sean's got an up-close and personal shot of the post-game coach handshake, some nice game action, and a whole mess of Raider dejection images.
Mark J. Terrill
http://www.sportsshooter.com/mjterrill
Mark contributes a well-rounded collection of images, including some of the halftime entertainment, the San Diego skyline, some really impressive game action and end-of-game jube.
Robert Hanashiro
http://www.sportsshooter.com/bert
Bert added some really nice images of the game, and even a little pre-game shot of Raiders owner Al Davis. Image number 7 in his gallery kicks some booty, yo.
Jack Gruber
http://www.sportsshooter.com/guygruber
What starts off as a tender pre-game moment between photogs turns into a nice action sequence of one of the key plays of the game. Jack's position was 'up and down the Tampa Bay sideline. And in the end zones too.'
Jose Carlos Fajardo
http://www.sportsshooter.com/jfajardo
The SportsShooter.com MVP (Most Valuable Photog) of the game award goes to Jose for providing updates every few hours in the days leading up to the Super Bowl. He even gives us a post-game photog-jube shot!
Thom Vollenweider
http://www.sportsshooter.com/thomv
Thom shares an overhead action image and a post-game trophy celebration shot in his gallery. Look for images #3 and #4.
Steven E. Frischling
http://www.sportsshooter.com/sefrischling
Mr. Frischling even includes a picture of The Big Kahuna himself on the sidelines in his gallery! He shot game action from above, including fan reaction, and even a shot that shows his shooting position. (Is that a SportsShooter hat he has on?)
Julio Cortez
http://www.sportsshooter.com/juliocortez
From Universal City, CA, Julio covers fan reaction and shows an assortment of nice images in his member gallery. Nice job! You don't have to be on the field to get good Super Bowl images.
Scott MacDonald
http://www.sportsshooter.com/scottmacdonald
Scott gets the 'quickest update' award for putting images up on his member page within hours of shooting them. He quickly uploaded images of police in Salinas, CA, keeping Raider fans in line following their team’s loss to Tampa Bay.
