Newest Toy for Members: The Message Board
Time to make an announcement, but don't rush me here. Ok?

Doing this site is fun.

That's a really profound statement, isn't it?

Just so you know, this thing I am writing right now (the thing you are reading) is supposed to be an announcement for the new message board we just built into the site, and technically it is, but I want to say a few things before it is "officially announced" seven more paragraphs down.

It took us just over three months to get this site built, and I've got to admit – towards the end of it, we were really starting to drag ourselves through each day. We were asking each other the big question – over and over.

"We are building it, but will they come?"

On the day we launched the site (less than a month ago!) we got an incredible response – and with it, a giant energy boost. We were instantly motivated to make the site even better – because people WERE coming.

We got a suggestion on the first day – to have an index of members, that we were able to crank out the same day. We've been able to make improvements and tweaks to just about every area of the site since then – thanks to the suggestions from our users.

Obviously, all ideas are not created equal. Some are more "equal" than others. (Wow, I just got to use an 'Animal Farm' reference from back in 7th grade). One such 'equal' (ok, let me use the real word - 'complicated') suggestion came up a few times - create a message board for our members. One where only our members could post messages – creating an environment without anonymous posts from mystery people.

After a few weeks of heavy lifting, we've been able to create this. SportsShooter hats (available in the store) off to Jason, who has been able to single-handedly write (from scratch) the code behind any idea we've come up with so far – the message board is no exception.

So here it is: The new SportsShooter.com Message Board is officially announced.

And don't worry, we're not taking any vacation days. We'll have more toys for you to play with in a few weeks.
