Sports Shooter News & Notes, Part 2
By Robert Hanashiro
"The Perfect Game," a collection of baseball photographs by Walter Iooss is slated to be published in October 2001 by Total Sports Publishing.
More than a reprint of "Diamond Dreams," "The Perfect Game" will contain about 25-30% new material, including photographs of Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Derek Jeter, Frank Thomas, and many other current stars. Also, an entirely new text will be written by Ira Berkow, the dean of sportswriters at The New York Times.
Additionally, we'll be publishing a third collection of Walter's photographs, "The Sporting Life," in 2002.
(Thanks to Aaron Johnson for passing along this info.)

(If you haven't viewed "Clinton: Final Days" it is definitely worth the time. If you're still on an analog phone line, just click the "Final Days" link and go to sleep. You'll bust a gut in the morning when you see this.)
- Darryl Miho reports that John Grieshop and his wife Ellen are the proud parents of a baby boy! Born 2 lbs. 14 oz., he is about 11-weeks premature, but recent reports are that he is doing fine and breathing on his own.
- Sports Shooter can always be accessed via the web. Each issue is supplemented with many images and put together by Sports Shooter curator Brad Mangin. To check out this and all of the previous issues, go to: http://www.manginphotography.com/intropage.html.
