Roberts News: New Gear From Pocket Wizard, Canon and ClickFree
By Jody Grober
Greeting from Indianapolis. I hope some of you will stop by this week during your visit for the Big Ten Tourney.
Very exciting news out of LPA Design and MacGroupUS…the new PocketWizard MiniLL1 and FlexLL5. You can now do wireless TTL with radio…that's correct, no more 'line of sight'…hide 'em, block 'em, close by or far away, you get TTL exposure every time…I'm talking LPA dependability…Early review:

Get on the list for Canon versions due in early March today:

Another new and VERY exciting new product is the ClickFree 320Gb Automatic Backup Hard Drive…this little thing is really simple and take the pain out of backup and many other storage problems.

Murph had a great article in last months issue http://www.sportsshooter.com/news/2159. I just wanted to mention that those great cases that they use for most of the gear are the Versa-Flex 1724.08. A super case that I stock on a regular basis.
My memory deals of the month are as follows. I have very limited quantity of each.
Sandisk 4GB Ducati CF $39.97 each while supplies last

Lexar 300X 4 Gb $39.97 each while supplies last

Nikon has announced a new 'normal' lens for DX users. We are taking names now. I am pleasantly surprised as a I was with the 50/1.4G as to the large number of shooters moving back to primes. http://robertsimaging.com/cmItemDetail.jsp?pid=16652
Also from Nikon the new P90 will be an awesome pro Point and Shoot. http://robertsimaging.com/cmItemDetail.jsp?pid=16602
Canon has announced some new product as well, three of which deserve special mention:
Two new perspective correction lenses, the Canon 17 PCE and the Canon 24 PCE II. Call or email us to get on the list for these.
The new Canon SX1-IS Point and Shoot has HD video with HDMI output, a 5.0-100.0mm f/2.8-5.7 (35mm film equivalent: 28-560mm) lens and a 10 Mp imager.
I hope to have more news next month after my trip to the PMA photo show.
I have heard some requests for auto focus during DLSR video capture, well it looks like Canon might be moving in that direction:

I will soon have a new voice recorder, the Tascam DR-07. It has a full feature list at the modest price of $199.00. Of course, I will have a special Sports Shooter price. http://www.tascam.com/products/dr-07.html
A new product from Foci is their Photo Book, which may work out to be a very interesting way to do a portfolio. I should have stock in May.

My bag of the month is the Think Tank Photo Streetwalker Pro…free UPS ground to the 48 through March 18. Put "bag it, moon job" in the comment field for a web order or just call us. http://robertsimaging.com/cmItemDetail.jsp?pid=16068
That is it for now, have a great month and have some fun…
