Leading Off: Football Season is Here

With the passing of Labor Day it can mean only one thing. Football!
The second issue of SptShtr is devoted to what has now become our "nation's pastime." Whether you find yourself on the sidelines of Mission Valley Prep, the Rose Bowl or Lambeau Field, the job is still the same: get that one image that captures the competition, emotion, athleticism and news of the game.
I have assembled writings and musings about covering football from several friends. This issue also debuts a column by Captain Ron who will write on making travel easier.
So...as Hank Williams, Jr. sings every Monday evening: "Are you ready for some football?"
