New SouthWest Airlines Policy Helps Traveling Photographers?
By Scott Wachter
READ THIS ----- Southwest Airlines has began allowing photographers to board early to stash gear and get a good seat! Just ask before you board and if the gate agent knows what they are doing, they will let you on. If they do not, then ask them to call a supervisor. Southwest has confirmed this new policy via phone, and some, but only some agents, at the airports know about this.
Finally, there is respect for photographers! This is news to your ears from your travel agent, specializing in photographer's travel!
MORE ON THE NEW SOUTHWEST POLICY----- I forgot to mention that this policy doesn't mean that you show up 20 min before the flight. That isn't what they want. They want to you have a decent boarding card number so it doesn't piss people off. You know if people start to get pissed of then this will all get screwed up soon they will have to let people on because they need a good seat that they can use there lap tops in, etc.... PLEASE help not to abuse this.
