Sitting in on the Sports Shooter Portfolio Contest Judging can be a great learning experience. At the Friday night session, members of the faculty - some of the best shooters and editors in the business - will be on hand to select the first place winners in the student and non-student categories.
The judging is often lively and fast-paced. So, if you want to hear great discussion and debate over the entries, check your egos at the door and come to listen and learn.
Winning photographers will receive a Pocket Wizard MultiMax donated by Mamiya America (for the pro winner) or a CoolPix camera donated by Nikon (for the student winner) ... and be crowned THE sports photographer of the year.
This year's Sports Portfolio Contest judging panel includes Robert Seale from the Sporting News, Rod Mar from the Seattle Times and Robert Beck from Sports Illustrated.
