Annual Sports Shooter Contest Deadline Near

Brian Davies and 9 other Sports Shooter Newsletter subscribers and SportsShooter.com members will be the only photographers competing for the coveted prize of the Sports Shooter Photo of the Year ... unless you enter too!
You have just over a week to enter the annual Sports Shooter Contest! And as of this writing, there are only 10 people that have entered, so if you don't want to chance missing the opportunity to compare your year's work with some of the top sports photographers out there today ... or overloading the email server with last minute entries, my advice is to get your entries in sooner, rather than later.
The deadline with this year's contest is 11:59 pm (Pacific time) Super Bowl Sunday, Feb, 1, 2004.
There are four different categories for you to enter (one of which is for students only) and the judging panel will select the best of all entries and name a Sports Shooter Photo of the Year.
The annual contest judging panel will consist of: Wally Skalij of the Los Angeles Times, Robert Beck of Sports Illustrated, Robert Hanashiro of USA TODAY and Ronal Taniwaki of Nikon Professional Services. The judging will take place Saturday April 10, with the finals open for Sports Shooter subscribers and SportsShooter.com members to observe. Last year's open judging session provided spectators with over two hours of lively educational and inspirational discussion, argument and debate ... and loads of fun!
