Brooks Institute Czech Republic Documentary Show Set to Open

The work of the ten students who participated in the most recent Brooks Institute overseas documentary class will open in Santa Barbara this weekend, Friday and Saturday, September 26 and 27, 2003.

A 15-minute audio visual show of the students’ pictures titled, “Stepping From Shadows: Czech Republic” and set to the music of Randy Tico will be shown at 7 pm Friday at Victoria Hall at State and Victoria Streets in downtown Santa Barbara. On Saturday, shows will be at 6 pm, 7 pm and 8 pm. All shows are free, though donations are welcome.

On Friday evening a print show of the students’ work will be on display at the Brooks Montecito campus, 15-minutes from downtown Santa Barbara. Maps to the campus will be available at the Victoria Hall AV show.

That same weekend, a website of the student work will be posted (http://www.czechrepublic.brooks.edu) In addition, a book titled, “Stepping From Shadows: Czech Republic” will also be on sale.

On Friday, October 3, the AV show will be shown on the Brooks Institute Ventura campus in the school’s screening room. Show times are 7 pm and 8 pm. Both shows are free.
