PHOTO MECHANIC PROBLEM

->> I got a new computer at work and I have the strangest proble with Photo Mechanic. Once I tranfer the pics to a folder, open the program and choose contact sheet I can't view the thumbnails of that folder. The funny thing is I can view all other folder. Also someone with a point and shoot digital gave me a card to transfer pics and it works. I changed card and shot test, did not work. Then on another assignments I could see only 3 out of 80 images.
Any clue? Am I attacked by Aliens? |

| ->> Make sure that you have read/write permissions for those files. This happens to me sometimes when transferring images between a MAC and a PC. It seems to have somethign to do with the permissions on the MAC. It's not very consistent though. |

->> What type of computer are you using?
What camera is producing the files with problems?
Is the camera set to RAW or JPEG?
Are you using the most recent version of PM (v4.1.1)?
If the photos were downloaded via PM v4+, was "copy locked file only" checked?
Can the photos be viewed or opened by another program like PhotoShop? |

->> you could also check to make sure that "all" is selected under the "view" drop down menu instead of "slected" "tagged" or "untagged" that would change what images you are seeing.

You fixed it but how? Am having a similar problem but only with a particular Dazzle Microtech USB drive with OSX10.3.2 and PhotoMechanic 4.1

->> All it needed was to downloade the free upgrade and and it work fine after that.
Joe, We use an older version of PM and that was the problem. I don't know if is the same case with 4.1 I called Camera Bitz and the guys there were very helpfull |
