->> Got a message from this Ruth Collins (ruth_coss@yahoo.com) about buying my F-5. Everything seemed ok until I got today's message
( Since you said the price is $1,000,i have a client that is ready to issue a check to you,so do let me have your full contact information to where the certified cashier check will be sent to like this;
NAME.........................,FULL ADDRESS.................(not p.o box),
CITY....................,STATE....................,
COUNTRY.........................,ZIPCODE.........................,CELL/OFFICE/HOME PHONE NUMBER,
this client of mine is the one owing me this amount of money,i have inform him and he said there is no problem, my client we issue a check of $6,000 to you
and then when you receive payment you then send back my balance of $5,000 to my shipper that we come for the pickup at your location,cos i do ship, i will take care of the shipping cos i have a shipping company that do take care of that,Looking forward to the requested information so that the certified cashier check can be sent out to you immediately.

of course it's a scam. the broken English is your second clue. the first clue is the person saying they're going to send you a cashier's check for $6,000, which will be bogus, for a $1,000 item and then you are to return their $5,000 plus the camera.
duh! just delete the message and move on.

| ->> Yeah, do what Marc said. Or, you could get the bogus check, get on ebay, buy a $1000 item, change the names on the email you were sent and send them the check. When you get the item, though, sell it quickly for cash as you may need bail money. :) |

| ->> actually you should have them send the cashiers check to you prior to picking up the item, and then you could turn it over to the police. What ever you do don't give them your camera. |

| ->> This scam is going on in more than just our little circle. A local lady here got dupped by a simliar scamm through a Cello she was trying to sell through e-bay. It amazes me people buy into it!!!!!! |
