->> I guess my little surfing video got all your creative juices going. I got like ten emails asking me how to do it. The answer might be suprisingly simple for you. This semester I will be learning Final Cut Pro, Flash, Pro Tools here at Western Ky. Univ. Those are the programs used to make the "real" slideshows and presentations. But, these are the programs I use now to make the "quickies":
iPhoto-drop the photos in order, make some "title" jpgs in photoshop, tell it what mp3 track you want to use....and export. takes about 3 minutes
iView-you can't do music, but you have a lot of compression and output settings to choose from. again , takes about 3-5 min.
iMovie-offers the most control of the "consumer" apps. drop a folder of sized photos in. drop in a Mp3 track. you can control the music fades, timings of transitions, etc. takes about 30 min or hour to make a decent one.
quickshow-there isnt an OSX version as far as I know, but this is what all the WKU students use for digital portfolios to send out on CD. just put the little application in with the same folder as your images, and its good to go. you have to order the photos as 1,2,3 or abc whatever. really easy. takes less than a minute
photoshop elements-you can export a set of images as a PDF slideshow
there are a ton more but this is a start.of course you could use the "real mans" programs or templates, scripting etc. but most of you don't need all that. this is a quick way to make some fun stuff. of course this is all for Mac. so if you have a PC, get rid of it. jk. I am nearly as crazy about Apple as I am about Canon....and sportsshooter.com. Just ask my classmates, they get tired of hearing about all three. lol
I am going to work on a more indepth version of this post for you guys later.
