->> I just loaded my copy of PhotoMechanic on both my laptop and primary desktop. Laptop has XP Pro and desktop has XP home edition. Works great on laptop but on desktop I keep getting an error every time it tries to load and the attempt fails. Does anyone know whether it is only XP Pro friendly? I've removed and re-installed 3 times but I get same error message. Help?!?

After you use Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs, make sure you reboot your computer. Then, if you run "regedit" from the Start/Run menu, you can search on "photo" or something, and look for any reference to Photo Mechanic. This will make sure that you don't leave any remenants that the program might hiccup on.

You might want to export your registry before you try this, in case you really screw somethign up. That way you can recover afterwards if necessary.

Good Luck.
