Any suggestions? Please include URL.
"Preview" isn't doing it for me.
Thanks |

->> Carleton,
I hate to agree with Delane but he's right (at least in my experiences) I use booth the PC and Mac version of Photo Mechanic and the JPG previews are much faster on MY PC.
Now back to your question..... Although I'm a huge supporter of iView it is sloooooow compared to Photo Mechanic in JPG image previews. You can DL a demo version of both products to see for yourself.

It is my prefered viewer on Mac OS X and OS 9.2, as well as Win2K. Just a great program |

| ->> Everyone who thinks iView Media Pro is slower than Photo Mechinic need to download and test version 2 of iView Media Pro. It is substantially faster than the previous version, and much more versatile than Photo Mechanic. Frankly, Photo Mechanic's user interface sucks. |

| ->> Photo Mechanic. When I need to drag a quick image or 2-3 i can use preview. With photo mechanic, I drag the fold onto the alias icon and the whole folder pops up of those images. |

| ->> I use Photo Mechanic like everyone else, but if you upgrade to Panther 10.3.... Preview is MUCH faster now. It is also "color aware" and can read .psd and most other types of files. |

->> I like Photo Mechanic also. I tried iView Media Pro before I shelled out for Photo Mechanic, but it just didn't suit me. It would probably be worth you're time and effort to try out both and see what you like best.
When I bought Photo Mechanic I was interning at The Portland Tribune, and it was what they used, so it made sense for me to be on the same workflow as them. Now I have gotten so used to it, that I can't imaging working without it.

| ->> I prefer PhotoMechanic. From what I heard the next version will have look ahead caching of images which should speed it up. |
