->> Three responses to an invitation for discussion, no response from the proprietors, negligible traffic, no site updates in years, clunky portfolio update system....
Social media has just taken over and left the message boards and web sites of the '90s in the dust. There comes a time when all conversations slowly grind to a halt, and I believe SportsShooter's time has come.
Wishing Bert, Jason, Brad, Grover, and Alan the best. Wherever the future leads them...

->> Dave I totally agree with you, and I see no reason why they charge us when they dont do anything. I have almost 2-3 times thought about not renewing my membership but then someone will find my name here and give me a call about a job. Yes they are making too much money for doing NOTHING. Maybe we just need a sport shooters facebook page, |

->> I agree that the site is extremely stale. But for $25 it's worth it to me to buy & sell gear plus finding photog's to cover SU sports on the road. |

->> I renewed in November, the relationships started here are all worth the $25 plus much more. Along with access to the classifieds that I might use once a year.. |

->> I'd like to know where are the social media pages for the pro discussions that were on this site. I'm on several Facebook pages, but they are mostly either soccer moms looking for advice how to get credentials or "Here's my picture of boys basketball in a dark gym- how do I make it better?" And each page has its own specific rules that if you violate, the soup nazi deletes your post "You didn't post your settings-NO POST FOR YOU!!" Nothing wrong with any of these pages-it's great that they exist for people to learn. It's just not the same as the discussions that used to be here. |
