->> Skintight polypro liner gloves under fleece mittens under windproof shell mittens. The fleece mittens and the shell mittens have almost no seams so I can still feel and operate the buttons on a 1 series Canon body. About the only thing I can't do it change memory cards and I don't do that much anyway. I only use the shell mittens when it gets really bad. I can get the fleece mittens off if I need to change cards. The key to keeping my hands warm is to have the rest of me dressed properly then the above combo keeps me going.

->> I use wool gloves that I believe are made for fly fishing...they have open fingers with a mitt like covering that flips over your fingers when you don't need them out...and it has a slit in the thumb so you can stick your thumb out of the glove and have all your fingers and thumb exposed. I have made the mistake of buying a pair of them without the slit in the thumb, not as useful. I have also gone in a store and bought a nice pair of Northface gloves and as I was checking out, asked for a pair of scissors and cut up the fingers at the register to the horror of the clerk.

->> I use Aquatech's sensory gloves (sometimes over a pair of glove liners if it's really cold).

->> I also use the Aquatech sensory gloves, but they are not the warmest gloves. A pair of rubber gloves or liners under helps, but if it's really cold I'd look for another solution.
