| ->> Anyone else notice their user galleries in the Members Area are gone? I've had a few I stored there for years and they are no longer there. |

->> It doesn't matter because the URLs link back to the 10 photos on your members' page, not to the original galleries that they contained.
I'm surprised no one else is concerned that their public/private galleries are gone. |

->> So here's the response I received after emailing support:
Thanks for contacting us. We did a major overhaul and update to the code behind SportsShooter.Com this year and continue to work on things incrementally to improve the site’s functionality (with the hope making some design changes down the road). During this first phase we didn’t update the code for the private/public galleries, as not many members were utilizing it to its full capacity or regularly updating them. Obviously, you have quite a few galleries and I can see how it’s tied into your marketing. I’m sorry if our update messed that up. All of the files and databases exist for your galleries but I’m not sure when/if the code will be updated.
I realize my response doesn’t resolve your issue but wanted to let you know what was going on behind the scenes.
-----------------------------------------------------------
So the upshot is they are updating the website but not sure if and when the galleries will be back. Inquiring minds want to know :) |

| ->> The sad thing is that there was no communication about changes. Anytime PhotoShelter works on the system there is a communication. |

->> Anyone recall the URL to get into user galleries, before /GalleryName ?
I can't seem to remember it. I really wish SportShooter would add that back in, it is the only place photos from the birth of my second kid exist that i can access.
Thanks |

->> Unfortunately it doesn't matter if you don't have the URL's. I have mine and I tried them and them. They keep linking back to the 10 photos on the member's main page not the actual galleries. I would contact admin and see if they could restore them for you temporarily. I too am disappointed that zero notice was given to the members before the galleries stopped working.
They don't seem to be in a hurry to restore them, or if they will be restored at all. |

->> Not to hijack the post but it just seems like the site is dying a slow death. You guys have lost your galleries, clip contest last month only had 8 people voted, the same people post articles that everyone has already seen on other forms of social media, Facebook groups, etc
Someone asked me recently why I keep my membership here, it honestly took me a while to think of an answer and when I did answer it was the classified ads and the guide.
I really wish that something could happen that brings the site back but I really have my doubts |

->> The 'private' galleries are back. You will see them listed on your page again and you will also see them when you log in so you can download them again, just like before.
The only change is that we are no longer allowing creation of new galleries.
If this is a feature that everyone really uses and wants, we can certainly see about re-adding the ability to create new galleries.
We made some substantial architecture changes to the site a few months back and the private galleries were removed. This was due to the stats showing that very few people used them.
However, we understand that these galleries are important to some of you, so they are now back.
The underlying changes that were made with the hopes that we can make some site changes in the near future.
If there are features or functionality that you think should exists, I encourage you all to use the contact form to let us know. That is the best way to be sure your thoughts make it to where they need to be.
Thanks.
