Pocketwizard Multimax not triggering TT5

->> I'm a little stumped on an issue I'm having combining Multimax units with Flex TT5 and TT1 (Nikon). I am able to fire speedlights connected to Mulitmax units as the receiver when using my TT1 and TT5 units as transmitters, but not vice-versa. When using the Multimax as transmitters, the TT1 and TT5 won't fire speedlights. Yes, I've double checked that I've switched the Multimax unit switch back to "Transmit". Is there another configuration setting I need to change somewhere?

Thanks!

->> There's a zillion configuration settings in the TT5. One of those settings is "Transmitter only". I don't know if that's the problem; just an idea. Or maybe the transmit and receive channels are different.

->> In the "Channel" tab of the PW Util, you may need to check your "Receive" settings. I believe as a receiver, a Flex can only receive on a Standard or TTL channel, but not both. There is a setting for CTL on or off. I'd start there. Sorry if this is being Captain Obvious but I have had the Std channel settings randomly change themselves when I change the CTL settings in earlier versions of the Util.

->> Thanks guys for the input. I'll take a look at those Standard vs. TTL settings when I'm home later. I know for sure that it's not set to Transmitter only though as they will receive when triggered by a TT1, just not with the Multimax.

->> I've also had weird issues using both TT1's and my MultiMax. I'll need to pay attention next time to see if it's the same behavior as you described. Seemed to be a lot more random... sometimes things work as soon as I set it up, other times it won't work no matter what I try, and yet other times I have to swap units all over the place between the camera and the various flashes/strobes. Maddening.
