->> I am trying to find an efficient workflow for transmitting images from the field, but have not run across an app for iPad to caption images as you would in Photo Mechanic. I am using Camranger with a Canon 1D X to transmit images from camera to iPad which is working well, just need the captioning portion, Anyone? Thanks! |

->> I would give 2 thumbs up for Filterstorm Neue. I have used the standard Filterstorm app for a while and have great luck cropping, toning and captioning photos. I have have a few problem with sending corrupt images via FTP when the wireless is a little slow. It is really helpful to have preset info for the captions to speed up workflow. |

->> If you can pre write your captions in PM, you can email the .xmp file (s) to yourself and then there is an option to to copy it to Photogene when you highlight the .xmp file in your email. Then under metadata icon in Photogene it is there in a library and you can load it right in. Works great and the software is excellent. I thinks its 4.99 ..Had it for awhile and have done it that way a few times. |

->> How about a direct ingest from the camera of locked files to a specified FTP site for real-time image upload? |

->> Both Filterstorm and Photogene work well for what you're trying to do. I used to FS but had crashing problems with it, so I switched to Photogene. Photogene has complete editing tools, including IPTC and export via ftp. I use it quite a bit with my iPhone and it has never failed me. |
