->> I was shooting in a gym and there was some sun strips on the floor. When I took some photos I now get a light streak across my images. I just took some images of a chair sitting in the shade and I still get that light streak. It is a Canon EOS-1D |

->> Shutter is blown. I had that happen to me before. What's going on is a shutter blade is not closing like the rest of the blades and overexposing that part of the image. The other shutter failure is the black streak, which a shutter blade sticks over the sensor, not exposing that part of the image. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. |

->> Not that it's needed, but I second what Douglas said. The same thing happened to me too. I sent it in for repair and had to replace the shutter. Sorry Nadine. |

->> You can buy a 1D cheaper than what it will likely cost you to get the shutter fixed and have it in hand sooner if you aren't going to use this as an opportunity to upgrade. Then sell the broken body for parts on eBay and if you get a charger with the new one sell the charger separately. You could possibly get your total cost of replacement down below $150, |

->> Thanks to everyone. I knew it was probably bad news but I like how you have all turned bad news into a positive spin with your advice. |
