| ->> Ausome video, but they didn't show the quality of a still photo. I would have hoped they would be able to control the shutter and aperture more. I also wonder if the old accesories will work on the new camera? |

Housings won't work because of the change in size and lens position. All of the mounts will work.
I'm really hoping they finish the wifi firmware. When they released the original wifi bacpac, they promised live streaming and file transfer in the fall of 2012. Hasn't happened yet...I hope soon!

| ->> I'd think more manual controls are in the works, since via the iphone app, you have access to all the settings on the camera already. Seems just a firmware addition to make manual a possiblity. Still pix from H2 are pretty decent, at 11mp. I've used a few in weddings. Rebilas got a few published of dirt track racing. This new one promises a better lens, which I'm sure would impact the quality of the still image even further. |

->> For the "black" edition of the H3:
"New advanced camera settings: Looping video, Continuous Photo, Manual White Balance control, Protune Mode, allows to shoot photos while recording video and more."
The "protune mode" sounds interesting... |

| ->> David, ProTune mode generally refers to a higher datarate (on Hero2, it's 35Mbps) encoding, as well as lower contrast (flatter curve) video intended to be color-graded later. I believe the photos-while-shooting-videos feature is separate from ProTune. |

| ->> I really like the new features but I have to question the decision to go with a MicroSD card for storage. I guess they are cheaper than SDHC. |

| ->> This would be my first GoPro if I get one. Is this something that would be OK to pre order now or is this something that's better to let them hit the market, get tested out and any bugs fixed and then get one say early next year? I was really debating on the Hero2 and then when I saw this posted I think it's about time to break down and get one. |

| ->> David, I finally had time to mess with the gopro app. it is pretty great....seeing what the camera sees on your iphone or ipod touch is awesome...then you just hit the red button on your screen and the camera starts shooting. I think this camera could be the real deal. I noticed in the video there wasn't near as much barrel distortion and the most important thing was the horizon lines were straight....but still gave that wide wide shot.....IF the stills are twice as good in marginal light this thing will have some pretty terrific applications. |

| ->> @David, The bugs have been "worked out" of these things years ago. The H2 is a terrific little beastie...(you do realize it was a whopping 300 bucks right?) The new H3, offers an improved lens and includes the wifi back, that when coupled with the remote or APP allow for some impressive functionality...its still a steal. Only thing to wonder now is...how exactly to actually use it in your repertoire. I've made some cool time lapse stuff, but only fun family videos. Again for 300 bucks (399 now) its still a no brainer imo. |

->> Thanks guys :)
I have a feeling I'll be pre-ordering this before the week is out.
Looking at the Black and then the LCD back for it. |
