->> Shared a elevator ride with a gent wearing a Nikon D3 shirt yesterday.
Struck up a brief conversation with him and it turns out he's a Nikon employee. Commented how much I liked the D3 and D3s. He replied "something new is coming...soon" without me even asking.
Save your pennies. One more confirmation that it's getting closer. |

->> I have a D3 hat.. and a Nikon vest... but my knowledge of any D4 release is based on the same rumor sites as anyone else.
Make the most of the cameras you have. (I think you know this Michael, but for others I suggest they not worry so much about the gear...) |

| ->> Ahhhh, but think how much happier you'll be with the D800 and 32 megapixels of resolution! |

->> I just shot a very very dimly lit acoustic songwriter event in Nashville at the Blue Bird with my D3s at iso 6400 and 8000 and am simply amazed of the quality. Very little noise reduction produced fantastic results. I can't imagine what more Nikon would do to their lineup other than add 1080p video and a few more MP to compete with 5dM2? I'm guessing D700 gets the upgrade to compete head to head with 5dM2.
Love Love Love my D3s. |
