->> They probably come from the same factory and just have a different label slapped on them before they're boxed.
The house brand light stands that I've bought from B&H (they can them "Impact") are exactly the same as Manfrotto stands that I already own. If you order them from Adorama or B&H you can always send them back if you don't think they're any good. |

| ->> These appear to be Manfroto poles. It matches every detail so IMHO it has to be they're imported by Impact brand. Note that Manfroto is marketed by at least three companies. Alu.com sells Manfroto auto poles as retailer display equipment with accessories that arent sold by photo suppliers. And Avenger sold Superclamps that Bogen wasn't distributing. Knowing this helps if you like t-handle knobs on the super clamps. Avenger sold one style and Bogen sold the other. |

->> These look like gen1 Manfrotto autopoles. There are two versions of autopoles - this one, which is the earlier version with a handle that sticks out a bit, and a second gen version which has a handle that sits flush to the pole. Not sure the difference between the two.
Manfrotto also makes an entire line of autopoles/superclamps/etc. for the retail display industry. This hardware is usually chrome and will occasionally have some detail differences between the photography counterparts (i.e. some of the superclamps have a different handle style). You can occasionally get a bargain on ebay by looking for this stuff from people who have bought up fixtures at going-out-of-business sales. |

->> Robert,
I JUST finished reading them and thought the same thing!
My experience has always been that too--"you get what you pay for" and since this is going to used for heavy items I need a sturdy one |

| ->> Debra, I use the bogen expand system, love it, the handles and position of where they're located is a bit different. If uts like the bogen version that's a much better price and it's a great system. Portable and easy to set up, plus those auto poles can be used to mount lights ect. |

| ->> picked up the autopoles today. I already have a set that I have been very happy with and they have held several seamless rolls at once. This new set is going to be used to hang a bicycle, some long winter coats and other things so I needed to make sure it was extra sturdy |
