Pebble Beach .... What to do?

->> So I am very lucky to be traveling to Pebble Beach in a October for a two part event involving a very well known golfer. I wanted to know if anyone had any good suggestions for places to shoot in the area or food spots or anything! I have never been to the area.
I will be shooting Big Sur (not sure of exact location) and covering the events at Pebble and Monterrey. Anyone have any cool spots away from the touristy areas?
Also if you have played Pebble, Spyglass, The Preserve please give me some local knowledge as they will be letting me golf on the off days. |

Bring lots of money. The one person that I know who's played a round at Pebble Beach paid $495 for the round, $100+ for the caddie plus another $100 or so for towels and other knick-knacks.
He loved it but said that the pace of play was pretty slow (around 5 1/2 hours for 18 holes). I guess people figure that if you're going to spend $500 on a round of golf they're going to take their sweet-ass time and enjoy the scenery.
He also said that the caddie was excellent in giving advice on how to play the holes.
Good luck and avoid the water. |

->> Thanks Jim and I will have my rounds paid for so I will just cover the caddies and dozens of balls I am sure to pump into the water.
I have heard Pebble is slow but its the one of those courses I will gladly hang out on for 6 hours! |

->> Right Peppers is a great place to eat, take a nice slow 30 mile scenic drive south of Pebble on route one.
Town of Carmel is touristy but beautiful. |

| ->> Your best bet is to give Michael Troutman a call as he has shot Pebble for years. He has a ton of local experience. |

| ->> If I had to do groups that said "Pebble" I'd probably go to the hill to the players left of the 7th tee and shoot back toward the green and the cove.. |
