| ->> Has anyone else had issues with Lexar Platinum II SDHC cards? Within a week I had a 32 GB card fail and an 8 GB card lock tab break off. I'm not too fond of SD cards with the lock tab on the side. Any suggestions on what type and brand SD card might save me such grief in the future, while using them in a pair of Nikon D7000 bodies? |

->> SD cards are always going to be flimsier than the CF cards we're used to...though I have not tried Hoodman's "ruggedized" card personally.
I have tried just about every other card under the sun for the D7000 - at least the faster ones (of which the Platinum II is not).

->> I have been using the RAW STEEL 16GB SHDC CLASS 10 cards from Hoodman. http://tinyurl.com/5t3d9po
So far no problems at all.
A few facts from Hoodman:
RAW STEEL 16GB SHDC
The World's only Steel Plated/Ruggedized SDHC Card
Uses new Chip on Board Technology (COB)
COB: Miniaturizes all the internal components so there is room for a reinforced internal housing structure
Epoxy Assembly process provides a waterproof housing
Requires fewer solder joints for greater reliability and performance
Above Speed Class 10 Specifications
Lifetime Warranty |
