->> Shocking. When I was covering the G20 Summit a few years ago I had some trouble from protesters. Fortunately I was in a group of photographers so it came to more or less nothing - just a bit of shoving.

It just shows the kind of people who are causing all the trouble. Disgraceful.

->> NBC Nightly News just did a piece on the rioting in London. They showed a street where all the shops except one were vandalized if not looted too.

The one and only store that didn't even had a rock chip in its picture windows? A book store.

Sort of says it all as to the mentality of the offenders and their priorities for personal gain.

->> Man, that's horrible. What a mess.

Interesting quote from the link above: "a lot of photographers, including those working for agencies, are now trying to remain as inconspicuous as possibly by using high definition flip cameras that look like mobile phones but take professional quality images. The Canon G11 is an example of one used by quite a few agency photographers."

->> Dennis, I noticed that graph too. My first thought was, great, tell them what p&s to look for.

Really sucks we can't just do our jobs without the public turning on us. But I guess if you're photographing people doing illegal activities, shouldn't be too surprising when they turn on you.
