->> Tim Mantoani's talk at the Lighting Luau was one of the best, most honest and informative presentations I've heard.
I learned a lot from Tim that day -- things that not only inspired my photography but also keep me focused on the business side of things. One of the great things about the Sports Shooter Academy workshops is not only do you get to hear the presentations, you often get to spend time with the speakers in hands-on shooting and or editing situations as well.
Check out this video if you have time. The only part you are missing from not attending the workshop is that you didn't get to spend the rest of the day picking his brain and soaking up his knowledge. |

->> Yes! I agree Rod...it was not just educational and inspirational, but extremely honest.
This is really a "must-see" video for both students and working photographers alike.
Thanks! |

Thanks for putting this together for the world to see Myung. |

->> Very nice video. Thanks for producing this.
For those interested, there is a very cool book that Tim authored called 'Photographic Global Notes, Vol 1&2 - A Dean Collins Production'. It's actually a single book, and appears to have been produced for Kodak in 1994. Dean Collins is the photographer whom Tim mentions in the video.
It contains short pieces on dozens of great photographers and dissects sample images showing lighting schemes. A great reference book. If you liked Tim's talk, you'll like this book.
It's out of print, but I occasionally see used copies. Try abebooks.com.
Cheers
