| ->> Does anyone know of a way to keep icons from being deleted from an iPad. It seems that my. 3 year old has deleted some icons and I can't remember which ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| ->> Resync your ipad. itunes will see from your previous sync what is missing and put them back. |

->> Go to Settings>General>Restrictions>Deleting Apps
@Gregory I don't think iTunes will put back the deleted apps as I've never had iTunes do that to my iPhone, it just figures I wanted them deleted. You can do a restore which will restore the iOS device to how it was at the last sync operation. |

| ->> @Baron. I think you're right about that but the apps should still be on your pc/mac and you will, I think, just have to reselect them to be synced back. |

| ->> Depending on when you synced you can get them back by doing a full reset (wiping it all) on the iPad and then doing a "restore from previous backkup" when you next sync. But, you will lose any information added in the period of time between the older backup and the sync. |

->> If you update your iOs install to the latest version (v4.3.3 or newer) ... and select the select the "Purchased" category in the bottom menu of the App Store app ... you can see a list of all your apps you had ever downloaded, free and paid ... you can re-install them directly without tethering ... though this method will not restore any files created with the apps and you will have to re-enter login info for apps like kindle, netflix, etc. ....
Or, conversely, you can also do this on your main computer using iTunes v 10.3 or newer ... then attach the iPad to the computer and add the apps via iTunes ...
This is why it is a good idea to connect your iOs devices to your computer once a week or so, so you can maintain a viable backup ... restoration usually can be don in just a few minutes ... |
