iPad HD and iPad Pro Apps? Really?

Apple really needs to make up its mind whether or not they will be a company that supports pro users and applications. After the whole Final Cut Pro debacle, this news is surprising (albiet it is a rumor, but surprising nonetheless)

->> I like my iPad v1 and use it for certain things regularly but I cannot imagine what a Pro version would do for me. I sometimes edit photos for my blogs on it and I really don't like it for that at all. I basically use it for reading and watching video (consuming), creating diagrams on the go using a stylus, presentations both on the iPad and projected, portfolio showings, and with an eye-fi card to keep art directors at a distance during shoots.

I'd be curious what a Pro iPad would cost and the benefits it would bring compared to a 13" Mac Book Pro which can be purchased for $1130.

->> I agree David, though I never really thought I would use my iPad as I do ... I do know that my MacBook Pro has seen far fewer hours of use since I bought my iPad ...

I'll have to wait and see 1) Will there indeed be an iPad "pro" ... 2) What it actually would bring to the table as far as use and functionality compared to laptop ... 3) What the price point would be vs. other option ...
