Using gigapans as a tool in the newsroom

->> At the Omaha World-Herald we started using gigapans to help give our readers a different look at the great 2011 Missouri River flood. It helps provide a big picture/small detail look at this slow motion disaster.

->> Chris, the gigapans are really cool. I just drove over the area a couple times in the past month and it is something I wanted to see, but couldn't from the car and didn't see in the papers when I picked them up at gas stations.
That said, they are but one part of the story. Given the slow burn of this story, I am really looking forward to some long term work from you guys in the area. |
