| ->> Not sure what you asking for here. I use LR3 mostly with a little PS when needed. In terms of ordering I use the ROES software specific to my lab. I know some use Express Digital Darkroom, but I've never used it. |

| ->> For T&I nothing beats writing the frame # on the photo order envelope as they turn them in. Perhaps you are referring to a camera linked to a computer capture system? Try school days. But I don't use it for T&I only underclass. |

->> Scott,
I am not aware of anything that hasn't already been mentioned it is a fairly manual process. Mine is shoot the teams, process orders with PS using custome templates and print, package using 2 different size rigid mailers, weigh, stamp (Using a Pitney Bowes printer) and mail.
Louis, writing the frame numbers on the order forms is how I started but needed an even more efficient way and that is when I started getting the rosters from the leagues. I have the rosters with me on a clipboard, while my table can be located anyplace, usually more convienient for the parents. I ask the player his/her name record the file numbers and shoot. This also allows parents to mail in the form months later and even before.
The works best with on ice hockey T&I I am on the ice with the roster and the parents are in the warm lobby at my table.

->> I use a lab near Chicago - burrellcolourimaging.com that offers a School Package and a Sports T&I package. They offer a bunch of templates and and you can download their "Flow" software for managing the process. They just switched to this so I can't say if good or bad but take a look. Click on their Products tab.
I've also seen some Photoshop canned templates from a company called http://www.graphicauthority.com/ - nice stuff but pricey if you do a lot of different sports.
Cheers.. Paul D. |

->> Not sure what you are asking. We use Express Digital Pro which is really the one stop shop for T&I. ED has very capable editing and proofing capabilities, but it needs to be made clear that ED is a "fulfillment program". It's not a browser, advanced editor, etc. It's a fulfillment program and a very good one at that. It will add your photo to your preset package, add your border for you, allow you to enter shipping information and networks with your labtricity lab. It will knockout your chroma key and replace it with your background. It tracks your customers, sales, emails, etc. and gives you a complete database of everything from soup to nuts. Does it rival the editing flexibility of LR or PS? No. But, if you're getting it right in camera to begin with, there is little need for advanced editing to begin with.
ED is not cheap though. The pro version will run you $1500, but you get what you pay for. When you have thousands of orders to process and get to your customers, there is next to nothing else out there that will do all that ED does. Essentially, you are able to fulfill a customer order with let's say 3-4 items in the package in about 15 seconds. That's the whole order. Color correct, crop, sharpen, add the photos into the package, add the border, add the address and send to the lab for print. |
