Where's the Stanley Cup puck?

->> An unexpected reason to save all your outtakes. When the Tribune looked into the still-missing puck Patrick Kane shot to win the Cup for the Blackhawks last year, we dug into our photo archives from the remote cameras at the game and found some pretty good evidence.

->> Brian, I saw this report on today's WGN Noon news…they only said the photograph was taken by a "Chicago Tribune photographer" but I seem to recall you had only 3 guys there so that narrowed it down.

Maybe they should hypnotize the ref to see if they can figure out where the mysterious puck ended up?

Good story.

->> Being a former hockey official - Miller, the linesman, is correct. Over the course of a season, he will pick up a thousand or so pucks. How can he possibly remember what he did with that one. Glad to see that the NHL put him back in for the Stanley Cup Finals after missing the earlier rounds.

->> Just heard the story on NPR. I take the side of how can he NOT know what he did with the Stanley Cup winning puck. I don't buy the "1000s of pucks during a season" argument - I take over a hundred thousand photos during a year and I know which hard drive they're stored on and which still need to be archived.

->> I should add: I particularly know what I did with the photo of the game winning play.
