OT - Rally car crashes inches away from photographer

->> Covering football or other sports where the action is right there, we've all had close calls countless times or have been nailed by a player. NOTHING comes as close as this rally photographer at a race in Ireland (back in 1995)

Check out the video ->

That speeding car came within inches of his body he's lucky he was standing by that concrete barrier.

The best part is after that very close call the guy is not fazed by his life flashing before his eyes and he proceeds to lift his camera up and start shooting the aftermath of the crash. Amazing!!

->> Oh man, what a crazy sport. I have had some close calls covering rodeos but nothing that close.

"The best part is after that very close call the guy is not fazed by his life flashing before his eyes and he proceeds to lift his camera up and start shooting the aftermath of the crash."

I couldn't agree more. I can almost hear his thought process:

"OH SH!T! I should make a picture." Priceless.

->> If you enjoy South Park or Family Guy and some crude humor from the viral videos on Youtube you will enjoy it.

Best advice watch it with an open mind. Daniel Tosh is a very funny comedian.

Go to
http://tosh.comedycentral.com/blog/ and you can watch clips from the shows. the web redemptions are always the best!

->> I was watching FIA World Rally racing from Italy last night and was trying to figure out where I would position myself as a photographer if I were there. It is amazing how close they let the fans get to the roads these cars are racing on, but I guess when you are racing on the dirt roads in the Italian mountains, it's kind of hard to control the spectators and/or photogs.
