| ->> Hey guy's/gal's we had a thread here once a while back where some of you posted performance settings for Photo Mechanic and I spent a crap load of time trying to locate the thread and can't seam to find it. I have a Mac Pro 2x2.8 Quad-Core Intel Xeon with 6 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM. My PM is current version but it started to seriously lag over the past few weeks. I have the cache cleared after shutdown (daily). Any help would be worth beer an nachos !! |

->> Do you have it set to any odd sorting options (those besides filenames)? That can cause a significant lag when it sorts through all the images.
Also you can up the memory size on the cache in Preferences. That tends to speed things up as long as you have the available memory (You should).
Besides that, I would look under Activity Monitor (in your applications folder) and see if anything is tying up large amounts of memory. If nothing is and your still having problems I'd contact Camera Bits and see if they can help you out. They are normally quite good at troubleshooting. |
