->> Does anyone know if the ipad (first gen) can directly import d7000 video using the camera connector kit -- either the sd card reader or usb port? Thanks.

->> I just tried, it let me import it, but then it won't open or play it after that. itunes/iphoto didn't pull up the camera roll of my ipad, like it does on my iphone. So I'm not sure if there's a way to pull it off of the ipad. I know this doesn't give you a final answer, but I tried to help :)

->> Bummer. Thanks, Josh, for testing that out. If by any chance you were at 1080i, might I please trouble you to try 720p@30fps normal or high quality? Reaching for straws, I know, but I'm hoping a lower -- but still good -- setting might help. I'd really like to see if there's any way to get it to work before I buy a d7000. Thanks.

->> You'd be able to pull it off of the iPad using the Image Capture application on your Mac.
