->> I am looking for an underwater housing set up for a beat-up old Nikon d70.
The shot will be underwater near a nuclear powerplant in Southern California and need something decent, but cheap that can go down maybe 10 meters- possibly more.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
I would be willing to-
a. Buy from a website
b. Buy from a photographer
c. Rig something up to make it work
d. Invest in an underwater camera of some type that would actually take decent pictures
e. Take ideas or suggestions.
All under $300. |

| ->> Why not see if you can rent something. Would be cheap enough and you should be able to get decent gear to protect. |

->> You're going to want to rent something because you'd be surprised how much light you lose at 10 meters, so you'll need strobes too.
Even if you could find a cheapy beater Ikelite housing to fit your D70, it'll be nearly useless at those depths without some strobes. |

| ->> When you go deeper then 10m you will start to lose a stack of light and colour, strobes will be virtually essential. Also be very careful as those SPL housings are only rated to 15-20ft so certainly not suitable for your needs. I would look in to renting though. |
