->> Has anyone ever bought equipment from any of these sites? They have some really low prices (maybe to low) and they seem like they could be the same company. I checked the BBB and found the folowing:
www.thedigitalhunter.com - no information found
www.getondigital.com - C
www.saveheredigital.com - no information found

->> Some of these places will advertise a camera for $700 less than anyone else and then charge $250 for the battery, $300 for the charger, $150 for the strap, and then require additional accessory purchases before honoring the advertised price.

Sometimes, the store will allow you to skip the accessories and actually "honor" the advertised price and will charge your credit card for the item and not ship it, explaining that it is out of stock and or backordered. Getting them to cancel the order can be very difficult, and getting them to actually ship the item for the agreed upon (and paid) price can be even more difficult still.

I was fortunate in finding Sports Shooter BEFORE finding some of these "amazing deals" and thus received a $25 education instead of one costing hundreds or thousands.

->> Some websites aren't authorized dealers either, so if there's a rebate it won't be eligible. I stick to the local store or one of the supporters of SportsShooter.

->> What's amazing is that so many people take the bait.

When we use price as the only determinate as to whether or not something is a good deal - we usually end up unhappy.

->> If any website offers you a camera for much less than companies like Adorama, Roberts, B&H, Samy's, etc (give or take a few bucks). then there's probably something fishy about the deal.

->> I like the top two comments on www.resellerratings.com/store/GetOnDigital- the only two 5 star ratings come from a similar screen name, with the exact same content and spelling error...as always buyer beware.
