->> Check out this video of what will go down as a classic limo fail that happened earlier today in Ireland.

Obama was leaving the US Embassy when his heavy limo scrapes and clanks hard on the driveway as the crowd watches while oohing hard. Classic limo fail.
Not sure what had me cracking up the sight and sound of it happening or the secret service driver getting out with that "What the hell" look on his face :-)

| ->> I'm sure the advance security agent got a good chewing out. I remember being in the motorcade years ago when leaving a hotel the limo had to do a 3-point turn to get around a tight corner. I was thinking then that the driver didn't like that and the head of detail didn't like not having a fast escape. Actually getting stuck is much worse. |

| ->> One might say that this vehicle didn't have sufficient clearance to transport the president. |

->> High profile motorcades rely on speed first and armor and weapons second for survivability. This is a huge breakdown in basic security, as the best way to avoid an ambush is to not be sitting still waiting for it to happen. Gunfire, rocket propelled grenades, and other such attacks by a small group are much less effective when the intended target is zooming by at 50 miles per hour. The odds swing heavily in favor of the aggressors when the target is sitting still.
Regardless of the legendary marksmanship of the Secret Service protective detail and the protection offered by The Beast, they would be at a huge disadvantage against reasonably competent adversaries in elevated positions in the surrounding buildings. |

->> I agree weird how that wasn't checked out first. I'm sure they go through every little detail with a fine tooth comb.
Some reports said that Obama was not in there and I agree cause if he was in there the secret service would swarmed all around there and rushed him out don't you think?

I laughed pretty hard at that one... after it clicked... |

| ->> There are probably some low rider hombres in east LA who could mod that beast to leap tall buildings with a single bound, and clear security bumps, too. |
