->> Pay particular attention to the second paragraph. You have to enter your administrator's password for the malware to install itself.

Always practice safe computing!

->> The only thing new about this latest Trojan malware for Mac ... is it is one of the first to actually use the OS X installer to become active ... simply unchecking the Safari preference for "Open safe files after downloading" can help prevent the file from requesting to be installed on it own ... or similar settings for other browsers you use ... as with all Trojans, it needs the assistance of the person access to the mouse and keyboard to accomplish anything ... to my knowledge, there isn't a Mac anti virus, anti malware solution that can stop the files from being downloaded in the background short of turning off Java Script in the browser itself ...

Unfortunately, I wonder how many folks have installed this malware because they read a headline or heard about ... "Macs Under Attack" ... "The Apple Sky is Falling" ... or "Macs Need AV Solutions Too" ... did a Google search ... inadvertently downloaded the malware thinking it was a solution rather than the problem ...

... Now I am not implying that Mac users need not be vigilant and should not take care ... but they should also be aware of the facts and and not succumb to the scads of rumors that simply hold no factual evidence that there is indeed an epidemic at hand ... as some blogsters would have us believe ...

->> Looks like OS X Lion has a built-in feature to prevent this. New apps are installed in a sandbox and don't have access outside their own data unless you specifically give it to them.
