Clearing user settings in loaner gear.

->> Okay folks please remember to clear out the user data when getting gear from NPS/CPS. Particularly if you get a D3 loaner from NPS please make sure that you reset the user data from the camera before using it.

I have never been to Utah and am pretty sure that the (c) data in this photo is the result of some NPS member getting a D3 that I had used. Another member here told me last month that she had gotten a NPS D3 that still had my (c) in saved in it. My standard M.O. has been to load the settings file from the body going into the shop.... I'll try to make a conscience effort to do a reset in the future when sending my loaners back, but at the same time everyone should make sure that they aren't putting out work with the wrong credit embedded in the file..... |
