If you get a Huh? or Inapprpriate, do not worry, there are few members (very few) who like to rule the roost but do not contribute to meaningful thought on the MB. Welcome and please be active, we do not hear enough from the left coast. |

->> Bryon,
It's the unwritten rule: as professional photographers, we shouldn't speak to each other, make eye contact, be in the same room etc. ad infinitum - and heaven help us if we should share some knowledge or insight with those whom we should only think of as our competitors!
On that logic, introducing yourself to another photographer - either in person or online - is merely the first step on the slippery slope to failure and poverty. |

->> Welcome Tod. We all hope that you will find this site to be helpful and hilarious at the same time. You may want to remove your physical address to keep your location protected. Past issues have shown that most of us remove it after being approved as a member. Good luck and take everything with a grain of salt.
Cheers, Michael |

1. How do I get hired by AP?
2. How do I get credentials to THE BIG GAME?
3. What is the scret handshake?
Welcome....
And BTW Tod, those three questions are the third rail of Sportsshooter...BEWARE. |

To the person who slapped me with my first inappropriate, TY! Made for some GREAT convo! I am honored!
Physical address will be changed
LOVE the sarcasm!
I'll keep an eye out for Liddy (I may even bite back).
How can anyone not like Kittens and homemade cookies (well, I can see not liking kittens)
AP? Not yet, working on it.
The Big Game? not yet, working on it (got past NFL and MLS creds, but still have questions and comments on this subject).
Secret Handshake... Aboola Aboola Aboola Da HA! Aboola Aboola Aboola Da HA! (Trading Places reference (hope I painted a picture for you)). |

Welcome Tod, start walking backwards slowly on the plank and forget the words credentials, big game, AP and handshake. They are never to be used when starting a topic.
Ever. |

->> A lot of times this board resembles a neighborhood bar, with different groups of regulars in different corners of the bar. Some grumpy half wasted guys at the end of the bar, rambling incoherently. Couple of mean looking dudes playing pool. Group of guys watching the game on TV. A sales guy in a frumpy suit on his third bourbon. An expressionless bartender...
So imagine a stranger walking through the front door of that bar and announcing, "I just wanted to say hello!"
I think the reaction would be similar...along with some peanuts being heaved in that general direction...:-)
(Welcome Tod! Sit down...have a drink...) |

Liar.
I love cookies, but not kittens, because kittens just grow up to be cats.
Puppies, on the other hand, grow up to be dogs and dogs rock. |
