Portfolio review night at Western Washington University
Daniel Berman, Student/Intern, Photographer
Seattle | WA | US | Posted: 3:41 AM on 05.07.11
->> I want to welcome everyone in the greater Seattle area to attend a PORTFOLIO REVIEW night hosted by the NPPA chapter of Western Washington University in Bellingham.

https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=219890528022637

Critiques are from 4-7 p.m. in the Communications Facility building on south campus. Admission is just $5.

You don't need to be a student or a NPPA member to attend -- just bring your printed or digital portfolio and an open, eager mind.
Tissues too, just in case.

Scheduled to attend are talented photographers from the Seattle and Bellingham area, as well as several SportsShooter members.

Jay Drowns, staff photographer at The Sporting News (SS member)
Scott Terrell, photo editor at The Skagit Valley Herald
Andy Bronson, staff photographer at The Bellingham Herald (SS member)
Joshua Trujillo, staff photographer at SeattlePI.com (SS member)
Mike Kane (www.mikekanephotos.com)
Phil Schofield (www.philschofieldphoto.com)
John Harris, WWU Journalism Dept. (SS member)
Matthew Williams (www.matthewwilliamsphotography.com)

From the event page:

"Do take this into consideration: you will probably never again get an intimate one-on-one critique with this caliber of professionals again without dropping thousands of dollars on airfare and tickets to a prestigious photo festival. Even then, that would not be as cool."

Thanks everyone! Hope to see you on May 15!

-Daniel

P.S. Mark your calendars for July 15-17 when WWU will host the Bellingham Visual Journalism Conference! An amazing lineup then too!
