->> I'm a relatively new iPhone owner, so my list may reflect some of my own ignorance of what's out there, but here's a few:
Evernote (Great for quick notes and syncing with all devices)
The Photographer's Ephemris (light angles anywhere)
Camera+ - has some built in editing
PS Express
Hipstamatic (much to Chip's chagrin)
Wunderground - Weather Underground
Remote - works great with Apple TV
Urban Spoon - because I like to eat
Slacker Radio / Pandora for musical accompaniment
AP Mobile
REUTERS News Pro
TIME mobile
NPR News
Aljazeera Live - good for a different perspective
MLB At Bat 11 - includes Gameday
CBC Hockey (Playoffs, eh?)
Groupon - occasionally good deals, and coupons are redeemable straight from the phone
And a few for fun:
Flixster
TFLN
Sporcle - quizzes to keep the mind active during downtime
Words With Friends
BaconFinder - exactly what it sounds like |

->> I use both the iPad and iPhone - here are a few of my favorites.
Evernote - syncs across multiple devices
Portfolio - better photo viewer
USA Today
NetNewsWire - RSS reader
Angry Birds
Craigsphone - simple way to browse Craigslist adds
Instapaper - download RSS things to read when no wifi connection
ABC Player
ABC News
Pandora - great when doing a long shoot to keep client entertained
X-Plane - cool flight simulator
Echophone - twitter
These are my favorite. My kids have a ton of apps they use for both games and learning, and my wife has a few cookbook apps on here as well. |

->> My iPhone apps:
SimpleNote - (synchs across computers, like Evernote) for ID, notes etc
iDisk - (part of MobileMe) Save my assignments as .pdf files then drop them into my iDisk, that way I always have them with me and don't have to print them out.
MapQuest - for mapping and turn by turn directions
Sunrise & Set Lite - for sunrise and sunset times
ZoomIt - Allows me to use ZoomIt card reader to access files on SD cards
FilterStorm - browse, caption, edit and ftp photos from iPhone Best. App. Ever.
Hipstamitic - why not?
Light Meter - A reflective light meter in my iPhone
Gas Buddy - cause gas is $4 per gallon and every penny less counts (finds the cheapest gas in your area)
Translate - provides translations on the iPhone
Mag. Light - turns the iPhone into a lit magnifying glass
And a whole bunch of travel apps. |

->> Got and iPad? Get the Korg iElectribe and/or iMS-20 apps. Each an absolute WORLD of fun.
I find that most of the made-for-the-iPad apps from news sites suck compared to the original web site. I'd love to be able to use the normal Google Maps web site instead of its "mobile" site. |
