->> Tim is by far one of the best people I have ever met in this business. Ever since VJ brought him aboard our Upper Deck team in the early 1990's he has been one of my all-time favorites. After his debut in our over-the-line games that spring he cemented himself into my Hall of Fame.
If you are within a few hours of Irvine tomorrow night you need to go and see Tim. I promise you will be glad you did. |

->> I'm sitting in the ballroom right now listening to Tim's afternoon lecture to the Lighting Luau students and if you're at all in the Southern California area, you should get yourself down to the Crowne Plaza Irvine tonight.
As Brad and the others have mentioned, Tim is not only a great photographer, he is also an engaging and informative speaker.
Tim speaks at 7:30 (doors at 7pm), and it's free. Invest in yourself and your career and come learn from one of the best. |

->> Tim's talk was amazing. Everyone in the audience from students to pros came away with so much from his presentation.
I feel bad for the students that Robert Beck's appearance was cancelled. That Robert and Tim are so willing to give back to the photographic community is incredible, and I hope more sponsors step up to keep this kind of education and community building happening for the benefit of all of us. |

| ->> With so many talented photographers out there, Tim’s presentation defined how to develop your own niche’ and go with where your interests lie. Yes, it is important to have great photos, but marketing and building relationships are probably as equally important. And in Tim’s presentation he showed just how those connections can lead to unexpected opportunities and jobs. His presentation planted many seeds of ideas, well done. |

->> I'll +1 all the positives coming out of this and add that one of the surprises to me was that Tim treated us as peers, talked to us in terms he knew we'd appreciate. He was very easy to relate to yet gave a serious glimpse into what his life is like working with high-level clients.
He was honest both as a photographer and a businessman and I rarely hear Pro's talk that candidly.
It was phenomenal.
Thanks to the SSA staff for getting him to make that drive from San Diego on a Friday afternoon (no small task). His talk alone was worth it all. |

Eye-opening.
Down to earth.
Truly a presentation that not only motivated but educated.
Definitely a one of a kind.
Thanks Tim Mantoani. |

| ->> Tim's stories, anecdotes and photographs were truly engaging. I enjoyed his many quotes, especially one by Jay Maisel which was "Quit if you can." Those of us that can't help but do what we do, know exactly what that means. I also enjoyed his story about AP photographer Marty Lederhandler, who, in the span of a 66 year career, went from sending out his film via carrier pigeon to shooting digital. |

->> Thanks to Rafael Delgado and Matt Brown for mounting a great grassroots effort to let people know about this event and that it would be free.
I was moved to see so many students and good friends make the drive to O.C. to see an inspiring presentation. |
